<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric push-pull lock which can be attached to a narrow space such as a jamb of a door, and can be locked or unlocked by remote control. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This electric push-pull lock 100 has a lock bolt 25 projected when the door is closed, and accommodates and holds the lock bolt 25 by opening the door, and comprises: a conversion mechanism 33 which inputs a push-pull force as a turning force to an operation shaft; a locking claw which regulates the turn of the operation shaft; a link mechanism which releases the regulation of the turn of the locking claw; a sliding cam plate which is slid by the turn of the operation shaft so as to make the lock bolt 25 retreat; a ratchet claw which makes the lock bolt 25 retreat and holds it; a releaser to release the holding of the lock bolt by the ratchet claw by a magnetic repelling force applied when the door is closed; an electromagnetic plunger which causes the linear motion of a plunger by an electric signal; a driving connector which is connected to the plunger so as to make the linear motion; and a switching cam which has a leading end engaging portion connected to a swing base end of the locking claw having a base end connecting portion connected to the driving connector.
