<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for storing reserve seedling of a rice transplanter furnished with a plurality of reserve seedling trays supported by a seedling tray post in a state vertically arranged in multiple stages and having a pressing member supported by the seedling tray post in a tiltable and vertically movable manner to switch a seedling scooping plate or a seedling box placed on the uppermost reserve seedling tray among the vertically arranged multiple seedling trays between a lowering action posture to press the scooping plate or the box against the uppermost reserve seedling tray and a lift-released posture to release the pressing of the seedling scooping plate or the seedling box, thereby enabling the pressing and fixing of an empty seedling box in the vertically arranged multiple reserve seedling trays against the uppermost reserve seedling tray in a good state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A bent part 38 is placed between a free end 33 of the pressing member 30 to apply the pressing action on the seedling scooping plate 41 or the seedling box 42 of the pressing member 30 and a base end connected to the seedling tray post 21.
