<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion type membrane-separation device that is easily pulled up from a reaction tank, is easily installed in a treatment tank, and has excellent maintainability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A immersion type membrane-separation device 10 comprising a separation-membrane unit 13 equipped with a separation-membrane module 11 that is immersed in a reaction tank 30 (a treatment tank) for storing water to be treated and filtrates the water to be treated, and a support 12 that supports the separation-membrane module 11, an aeration means 15 disposed below the separation-membrane module 11, and a distribution plate 18 disposed beside the separation-membrane unit 13 without touching the bottom face 30a of the reaction tank 30 (a treatment tank), is characterized in that the separation-membrane unit 13 can be pulled up independently of the distribution plate 18.
