PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having effectively improved high speed travelling performance. SOLUTION: End portions 65 of first ribbon-shaped bodies 40 located at both crosswise outside ends 34a of a first belt reinforcing layer 34 are overlapped with end portions 66 of a second ribbon-shaped body 56 located at a crosswise inside end 43a of a second reinforcing layer 43. The end portions of steel cords 36 and reinforcing cords 49 of the first and second ribbon-shaped bodies 40, 56 are therefore connected to each other via covering rubbers 39, 54 covering them to act as if the steel cords 36 and the reinforcing cords 49 are continued with each other. Thus, they effectively bear tension based on inner pressure filling and diameter growth to improve high speed travelling performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
