<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch chart capable of reducing influence of light entering from the outside and highly accurately measuring a patch. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Image forming processing includes an input means for inputting patch chart data indicating a patch chart, an image forming means for forming the patch chart on the basis of the patch chart data inputted from the input means, and a measuring means for measuring reflected light obtained by irradiating the patch chart formed by the image forming means with light without contact to the patch chart using the sensor. The patch chart has a patch image and a peripheral image adjacent to the patch image. The image forming means forms the patch image using a color material corresponding to the patch image, and forms the peripheral image using a color material whose spectral reflectance is lower than or equal to the patch image.
