<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of reducing capacity of stored information relating to processed image data and easily deciding whether or not the image data to be processed has been processed in the past. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image processing system is provided with an image processing apparatus and a terminal device which can perform communications to each other. When the terminal device and the image processing apparatus are powered on and a user instructs processing of output of the image data, a CPU of the terminal device outputs the image data to the image processing apparatus (S1), and at the same time, compares history information with the image data to be processed (S2). If the history information does not include matched information, the image processing apparatus starts the processing.
