<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow effective visual development for a surgical site by efficiently tugging a muscle without removing the muscle in a limited small space in a neck or the like in endoscopic surgery. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A muscle retractor 10 for achieving visual development of a surgical site by tugging a tissue near the surgical site comprises a muscle retractor body 11 which is made by bending and molding a steel wire into substantially a key shape, and a shaft 12. A puncture needle 13 is installed on the tip of the shaft 12 to stick from the back side of a skin to make the shaft 12 pierce through a percutaneous route, and the tissue is tugged by the muscle retractor body 11.
