The device (1) has a clamping unit (44) for fixing a pipeline (10) to a base body (12). The body has a receiver opening for insertion of the pipeline. A deformable sealant (36) i.e. O-ring, is arranged in the body, for airtight connection of the device with the pipeline. The sealant does not contact the pipeline during insertion of the pipeline, in an undeformed initial condition. A pressing unit (38) exerts a force during connection of the clamping unit with the body, where the force deforms the sealant and is provided at a sealed site on the pipeline.
