<p>An unbalance torque compensator which does not require any special control over urging force for compensation nor installation of a turning space for a balance weight. An index table, wherein a rotating shaft (3) extending in a direction intersecting the vertical direction while supporting a table (2) is index driven, comprises a rotating body (6) secured to the rotating shaft (3) or supported on a second shaft (4) different from the rotating shaft (3) and rotating by the same amount as the rotating shaft (3) through a rotation transmission mechanism (50), a supporting member (7) provided reciprocatingly in a direction intersecting the axis of the rotating body (6), and an urging member (80) of the supporting member (7). The rotating body (6) has a engaging portion (6a) engaging with the supporting member (7) at a position biased from the axis, the supporting member (7) has an engaging surface (7a) which receives a first rotary torque (T1) applied to the rotating shaft (3) through the engaging portion (6a), and the urging member (80) generates on the rotating shaft (3) through the engaging portion (6a) a second rotary torque (T2) in the direction opposing the first rotary torque (T1).</p> |
