<p>A dispensing valve assembly (20, 220) is configured to control flow from an associated container (22) or like reservoir, and includes a dispensing valve body (26, 226) configured for connection to the associated container (22). The valve assembly (20, 220) includes a resiliently deformable valve member (32, 232), positioned within the valve body (26, 226), for controlling flow therethrough. Selective opening of the valve member (32, 232) is effected by the provision of a reciprocably movable actuation member (30, 230), positioned generally within the valve body (26, 226), which can be actuated to bear against and engage the valve member (32, 232) to move the valve member (32, 232) from its closed configuration to its open configuration. An actuation button (28, 228), provided on the exterior of the valve body (26, 226), is engageable with the internal actuation member (30, 230) to permit convenient operation of the valve assembly (20, 220).</p> |
