EXTRUDED GINSENG EXTRACTS HAVING ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an extrusion-molded ginseng extract is provided to exhibit antibacterial activity and antioxidant activity as well as higher electron donating ability than red ginseng extracts. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an extrusion-molded ginseng extract comprises the following steps of: extrusion-molding white ginsengs; drying the extrusion-molded ginsengs in a hot-air drier; pulverizing the dried ginsengs; adding the ginseng powder in a mixture of distilled water and organic solvent, and extracting the ginseng; and filtering the ginseng extract, and removing the solvent therefrom.
