<p>A process for production of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) resin compositions which comprises bringing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin into contact with an aqueous solution containing both at least one additive selected from the group consisting of alkali metal salts (A) and boron compounds (B) and carbon dioxide gas. The process permits the production of environment-friendly EVOH resin compositions not emitting carboxylic acids such as acetic acid to the surrounding atmosphere, and provides EVOH resin compositions which little give off an odor and are excellent in long-run molding characteristics.</p> |
