<p>PURPOSE: A method for assembling a leather cover on a steering wheel is provided to reduce the assembly time while preventing deterioration of appearance by previously sewing threads on the leather cover. CONSTITUTION: A method for assembling a leather cover on a steering wheel comprises a step of punching sewing holes at regular intervals on both edges of a leather cover in the longitudinal direction and at the same time sewing first and second threads through the sewing holes(S3), a step of wrapping the leather cover on a rim of the steering wheel to cross the first and second threads and passing a third thread through crossing holes of the first and second threads, a step of binding the first to third threads, a step of pulling one ends of the first and second threads in the longitudinal direction of the leather cover to remove a gap, and a step of binding the other ends of the first to third threads to attach the leather cover to the steering wheel rim(S8).</p> |
