METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CAPABLE OF SELECTING PLAYING POSITION OF CONTENTS USING I-FRAME IN IPTV SERVICE USING FTP TYPE

摘要

PURPOSE: A system for selecting a point of reproducing contents by using an I-frame in the IPTV service using the FTP method is provided to transmit a contents file together with a reproduction point discrimination file to a set-top box. CONSTITUTION: A method for selecting a point of reproducing contents by using an I-frame in the IPTV service using the FTP method comprises the following steps of: generating a contents file to be provided to a set-top box; extracting an I-frame from the generated contents file; generating a reproduction point discrimination file by adding a reproduction point discrimination means corresponding to the extracted I-frame; and transmitting the contents file and reproduction point discrimination file to the set-top box when specific contents is requested(S400~S600).
