PURPOSE: A method for displaying a received message and a communication terminal therefor are provided to highlight a word which is included in the received message as being stored in a phone book. CONSTITUTION: A method for displaying a received message comprises the following steps of: comparing a word included in the received message with information stored in a phone book; determining whether the word is stored in the phone book(S220); if so, highlighting the word(S240); and displaying the received message in which the highlighted word is included(S250).
