A device to conceal the gap and/or crack between two adjacent objects, such as a staircase string and an adjacent plasterboard wall. The device includes at least two portions, the first portion 30 is attached to one of the first 4 or second objects, the second portion 12 is attached to the other of the first or second objects 6. The first portion receives at least a part of the second portion to act to conceal or otherwise reduce the visibility of a crack and/or gap between the first and second objects when in position for use. A third portion (fig 6a, part 106) of the device may also be included which provides a facia which includes illumination means which can be used to indicate a direction of travel, or delineate boundaries, when activated by a further device such as a smoke alarm. |
