<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detecting accuracy of an inner pot temperature detecting means while retaining a compact constitution by stopping a cooling fan in cooking, and to cook tasty boiled rice and exert an energy saving effect by controlling the heating power to desired level. <P>SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with: a rice cooker body; a lid body openably/closably covering an upper face opening part of the rice cooker body; a lid temperature detecting means disposed inside the lid body, an inner pot detachably stored in the rice cooker body; an inner pot temperature detecting means abutting on the inner pot; a heating means for heating materials to be cooked in the inner pot; a control means having functions for controlling the heating means based on information of the inner pot temperature detecting means and the lid temperature detecting means and cooking the materials to be cooked in the inner pot; and a cooling fan sending air for cooling the control means and the rice cooker body inside.
