<p>The automatic motor vehicle lighting control method uses operating information of the windscreen wiper. It comprises switching on the vehicle lights (12) in set conditions: if the wipers are switched on in intermittent mode (11) with a pre-specified number of wiping cycles (n) in a first time period (T1), at the end of a second time period (T2) if the wipers operate at low speed (14) or at the end of third time period (T3) if the wipers operate at high speed (15).
