The device has a measuring gap (54), which is formed with a guiding arrangement (34). A printing sheet is made up of measuring elements impinged on a side, which is averted to the guiding arrangement. The printing sheet is connected with an evaluation device (17). The measuring elements are set over a measuring area of the guidance arrangement. The measuring elements are extended to a supplying direction. The measuring elements are movable synchronously with a supplying speed.
