PURPOSE: An anthracene derivative is provided to ensure large band gap and to be preferably used as a host of a blue light-emitting layer. CONSTITUTION: An anthracene derivative is represented by chemical formula 1 or 2. The light emitting device includes a cathode, an anode, and an electric luminance layer. The electric luminance layer is positioned between the cathode and anode and comprises an anthracene derivative. In chemical formula 1, Ar1 and Ar2 are a substituted or unsubstituted C6 ~ 13 aryl group forming a ring; Ar3 is a substituted or unsubstituted C6 ~ 13 arylene group forming a ring; and Ar4 and Ar5 are a substituted or unsubstituted C6 ~ 13 aryl group for independently forming a ring.
