PURPOSE: A device for maintaining the height of a carriage is provided to maintain a fixed distance between a work unit and an object. CONSTITUTION: A device for maintaining the height of a carriage comprises a carriage body(1) equipped with a work unit, wheels(2) which are attached to the lower side of the carriage body and rotates to move the carriage body, and a cylinder(4) which is combined with the carriage body and the wheels to perform a damping function. The cylinder is equipped with a relief valve to maintain constant fluid pressure inside it, thereby supporting the carriage body at the fixed height.
