<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide folding portable information equipment with high operability, which includes a cylindrical operation part on a side surface part of a casing having an operation part consisting of an operation key, in which the cylindrical operation part can be rotated without contacting with a casing having a display even in a folded state of the portable information equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The portable information equipment 11 includes the first casing 12 having the display part 15 and the second casing 13 having the operation part 21 consisting of the operation key 20, the first casing 12 and the second casing 13 being foldable in opposition to each other. The second casing 13 further includes a rotator operation part 24 on the side surface, and the rotator operation part 24 can be rotated around the central axis of the operation part 24. The rotator operation part 24 includes a rotation detecting mechanism 29 detecting the rotation quantity, and a display content of the display part 15 can be controlled in conformation to the detected rotation quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
