PURPOSE: A system for recognizing and providing product information through a two-dimensional bar code by using a portable phone camera is provided to enable the portable phone camera to the two-dimensional bar code information to a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A system for recognizing and providing product information through a two-dimensional bar code by using a portable phone camera comprises a two-dimensional bar code generation module(210), a two-dimensional bar code database(400), a scan module(110), a discrimination module(115), and a basic information offering module(130). The discrimination module distinguishes the two-dimensional bar code through the comparison processing with the two-dimensional bar code database.
