PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling height of a heat blocking curtain in a furnace is provided to control height of the heat blocking curtain of the furnace according to thickness of a slab inserted into the furnace to prevent an equipment accident. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling height of a heat blocking curtain in a furnace includes a driving unit, a sensing unit(191) and a controller. The driving unit is in the furnace to elevate an opening/closing door(120) with a heat blocking curtain to prevent heat inside the furnace from being discharged. The sensing unit checks height of a slab(170) inserted into an opening of the furnace. |
