FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of processing sensor signals in a flow metre for subsequent calculation of mass flow, density and volume flow is realised using electronic measuring equipment which has an interface for receiving the first and second sensor signals and a processing system linked to the interface. The processing system is designed for generating ninety degree phase shift from the first sensor signal through Hilbert transform and for calculating phase difference from the ninety degree phase shift of the first and second sensor signals. Frequency is calculated from the first sensor signal and ninety degree phase shift. The second ninety degree phase shift can be generated from the second sensor signal.
