PURPOSE: An apparatus for reduction of a standby power of a switching mode power supply is provided to minimize standby power by controlling SMPS for LED light apparatus and cutting off the standby power. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reduction of a standby power of a switching mode power supply is composed of a power control unit(21), an electric power watcher(22), an electric condenser(23), a standby power control unit(24), a notifying unit(25), and a wire/wireless communication part(26). The power control unit turns on and off the power of the SMPS(30) from the AC power supply unit(10). The electric power watcher watches the input-output electric power of the SMPS, and the electric condenser stores a fed back power as the standby power. |
