PREPARATION OF ORGANIC COATED INORGANIC NANOPARTICLES USING BLOCK-COPOLYMERS

PURPOSE: A method for preparing organic polymer coated inorganic nanoparticles using block-copolymers is provided to exhibit high coating density and constant thickness of an organic polymer layer. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing organic polymer coated inorganic nanoparticles comprises the following steps of: allowing inorganic nanoparticles to react to poly(styrene-b-vinylbenzyl chloride) of block copolymer; and adding amine to the reacted material in order to form a double layer of vinyl benzylammonium salt block and polystyrene block on the surface of the inorganic nanoparticles. The inorganic nanoparticles are represented by formula 1, which is MmLnOl. In formula 1, M is metal; L is transition metal or lanthanide metal; m is an integer between 0 and 4; n is an integer between 0 and 4; and l is an integer between 1 and 8.
