FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to nonferrous metallurgy and may be used in cutting of refractory metal block, for instance block of spongy titanium or zirconium. Device comprises bed plate, in which the following components are installed - receiving table for installation of block, mechanism of clamps displacement in the form of slider with drive from hydraulic cylinder and cutting tool installed in plane of block cutting and made of several knives, cutting edges of which are displaced in direction of block cutting. Device is equipped with a knife holder with indent in upper part, comprising thrust surface that perceives cutting forces and arranged with an inclination, and support surface made with an inclination towards thrust surface. Knives are arranged with support and thrust surfaces, which are coupled with according planes of knife holder indent and are installed on support surface of knife holder indent, being in tight contact with thrust surface of indent with the possibility of displacement and detachment. Knives and knife holder are arranged with holes, through which they are connected to each other by means of bolt joint with the possibility of knives displacement relative to knife holder. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency, service life of tool and cutting quality. ^ 5 cl, 2 ex, 2 dwg |
