A SYSTEM FOR DECONTAMINATION OF RADIOACTIVE WASTE WATER, METHOD THEREBY

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for decontaminating liquid radioactive wastes using a dynamic layer are provided to improve absorption performance of the activated carbon for a metal ion inside the liquid radioactive wastes. CONSTITUTION: Liquid radioactive wastes with pH 2 to 4 are contacted with a dynamic layer. The dynamic layer contains a separation layer absorbing the activated carbon basified after the acid process or the activated carbon which is acidified. The radioactive metal cation contained in the wastes is removed by ion-exchanging with the cation on a surface of the activated carbon. The radioactive metal cation is the uranium ion.
