PURPOSE: A method for extracting carbon monoxide and methane from waste coal and a gas fuel extracting apparatus are provided to recycle waste coal by turning the solid waste coal into gas fuel. CONSTITUTION: A gas fuel extracting apparatus for extracting carbon monoxide and methane from waste coal comprises a closed combustion chamber(2), a fuel inlet part(3) to pun in a solid fuel(F) containing carbon(C), an ignition part(5) heating the bottom of the combustion chamber, an oxygen supply part(7) which controls the oxygen supply into the combustion chamber so that the solid fuel is burned in a lean oxygen state, a gas outlet(11) for extracting the gas generated in the combustion chamber to the outside, a combustion waste discharge port for ejecting the residue(A) of the solid fuel to the outside of the combustion chamber, and a moisture supply part(9) for supplying moisture(H2O) into the combustion chamber so that the moisture reacts with carbon in the solid fuel to generate gas fuel such as carbon monoxide(CO) and methane(CH4).
