An antifouling coating composition which is for forming an antifouling coating film. The antifouling coating film can effectively exhibit antifouling performance in seawater over long. The film is highly safe for the environment because the amount of the coating film dissolving away even in a sea area having a high seawater temperature is stable. The composition comprises (1) a triisopropylsilyl (meth)acrylate copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (a) 30-65 wt.% triisopropylsilyl (meth)acrylate, (b) 5-50 wt.% methyl methacrylate, and (c) 0-60 wt.% other (meth)acrylic ester(s) and having a glass transition temperature of 20-70°C and a number-average molecular weight of 5,000-30,000, (2) at least one salt selected from the group consisting of rosin zinc salts, rosin derivative zinc salts, rosin copper salts, and rosin derivative copper salts, and (3) cuprous oxide and contains substantially no rosin or rosin derivative having free carboxyl groups.
