FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technology of machine building, namely, to methods for shaping of threads by means of plastic deformation. Rotary motion and radial feed motion are imparted to conical knurl rollers, and stock is rotated by means of friction forces. Two or three identical conical knurl rollers are used with angle to cone åp, determined using formula: where kP is number of roller threading passes, kd is number of threading passes on stock, å is angle of rolled thread cone. ^ EFFECT: method prevents slipping of roller turns relative to stock, and improved resistance of thread-rolling tool. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex |
