An aquarium comprises a glass reservoir consisting of the bottom, embraced by side walls, a cover and a flanged edge arranged at the edge of the walls forming a guide for the walls. The cover is made of at least two constituent parts arranged in such a manner as to allow mutual movement as regards to each other. The flanged edge is made as a profile arranged in such a way that one of shelves is connected to the surface of the wall and/or to the end of the cover, and the other shelf is connected to the end of the wall and to the surface of the end of the cover opposite thereto. |
