METHOD FOR TREATING PHLEGMON OF LACRIMAL SAC

A method for treating the phlegmon of the lacrimal sac consists in the evacuation of the purulent content, the elimination of the inflammation in the adjacent tissues followed by probing of the nasolacrimal duct. Both lacrimal ducts are dilated for 2-3 days for providing the partial discharge of the purulent content. Then, the lacrimal sac is washed with the solution of antibiotic for the complete elimination of pus.
