A method of manufacturing wide-strip screw billets, at which a toothed billet is cut out, which consists of grooves and plates of teeth connected by grooved cross connections, the billet is wound on an edge and calibrated for a step. In the toothed billet the edges of the plates of teeth are cut from the side of grooved cross connections with a radius, which is equal to the radius of internal edge of the turn of wide-strip screw billet. The opposite edges of the plates of teeth from the side of grooves are cut out with radii, which are equal to the radius of internal edge of the turn of wide-strip screw billet, moreover the grooves are trapezoid. Before winding on the grooved cross connections V-shaped corrugations are formed, which edges are located perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of grooved cross connections. |
