摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A scavenging performance monitoring system and method for measuring process parameters in a large-size two-stroke diesel engine performing longitudinal evacuation are provided to reduce safety margins at all sides of the diesel engine layout by improving the reliability and availability of the diesel engine. CONSTITUTION: In an scavenging performance monitoring system for measuring process parameters in a large-size two-stroke diesel engine(2) performing longitudinal evacuation, fuel is supplied by an injection nozzle to a cylinder(4) of the diesel engine. A scavenging slot(6) is installed in the inlet side of the cylinder to supply a certain amount of scavenging air(7). An exhaust valve(8) is installed on a cylinder cover(9) of the cylinder to discharge combustion gas. Fresh air(11) is inhaled by an exhaust gas turbocharger(12) and supplied as scavenging air to the cylinder at specific pressure so that an ignition gas mixture is generated from the scavenging air and fuel within the cylinder. First and second oxygen sensors(131,132) are installed in the actuating surface of the cylinder to evaluate the scavenging performance in the cylinder.</p>
