PURPOSE: A method for testing the purity of watermelon F1 seed is provided to resolve economical problem by preventing loss of labor or time. CONSTITUTION: A method for testing the purity of watermelon F1 seed comprises: a step of selecting a primer set which has polymorphism to F1 breed; a step of amplifying a genome DNA isolated from F1 with a primer then detecting; and a step of testing the purity of the watermelon F1 seed. A kit for testing the purity of watermelon F1 seed contains a primer set, DNA polymerase and PCR buffer.
