An impeller (22) has a rotating shaft (7) supported by an upper bearing (9) and a lower bearing (10) to rotate freely at the upper and lower ends, a plurality of vanes (6), an arm (18) for coupling the inner circumferential side of a vane with the rotating shaft, an annular coupling portion (8) coupled to the outer circumferential side of each vane, and a driven magnet portion (12) arranged below the annular coupling portion. A drive magnet portion (16) provided on a rotor (13) and the driven magnet portion (12) oppose each other while holding the bottom wall of the housing between them, and rotation of the rotor is transmitted to the impeller through magnetic coupling. A blockade member (23) is arranged below the vane and the space of a region spread between the rotating shaft and the annular coupling portion is blocked while an opening (24) is left at least around the rotating shaft. In a structure where the rotating shaft of the impeller is supported by upper and lower bearings and the lower portion at the outer circumferential edge part of the vane is coupled by the annular coupling portion, formation of a blood clot in the vicinity of the lower bearing can be suppressed. |
