The assembly (10) has heat exchangers e.g. charge air cooler (14), refrigerant liquid condenser (16) and radiator (18), provided with respective front faces (40, 42, 48), where the face (40) is placed in upstream of the face (42). The face (40) has a surface that is smaller than that of the face (42) for permitting a fresh air flow (34) to directly reach the face (42) without traversing the face (40). A wall (58) delivers a portion of the air flow for directly guiding the air flow towards the face (40). An opening (60) is arranged in the wall for allowing the air flow. An independent claim is also included for a method for cooling fluid using a heat exchanger assembly.
