The device has a case (2) including an autonomous power supply emitter (3) connected to a battery (1) of a heavy truck i.e. lorry, and to a cap (11) of a diesel fuel tank (15) by electrical wires (10) having several connectors (6, 7, 8). The electrical wires are protected by a metallic sheath (9). A sealed case (17) has an emitter (12) placed below the cap, and two mercury contacts (13) that are connected in parallel.
