The device (58) has a product bobbin (42) around which a rubber band (10) and an interposed band (12) are rolled, where the interposed band carries the rubber band. A driving roller (44) drives the rubber band for unrolling the product bobbin. A rolling bobbin (46) rolls the interposed band, during unrolling of the rubber band. The product bobbin, rolling bobbin and the driving roller are movably mounted on a support (52). A positioning roller (60) positions the rubber band, and is carried by the support. An independent claim is also included for a rubber band depositing installation.
