The device (24) has an optical chromatic system (14) for focusing emitted light (16) from a light source (6) on an object (17) and for collecting the light reflected by the object. An analysis unit (11) analysis the collected light (18), and a separation unit (13) separates the emitted light from the collected light. A forward optical fiber (4) transports the emitted light from the source towards the unit (13) and a backward optical fiber (5) transports the collected light towards the analysis unit, where the device is arranged so that the emitted light is divergent at the separator unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for optical analysis of an object.
