The system has a cellular network allowing voice/data/multimedia communications between a mobile terminal (100) and a converging device that is connected to the network by interfaces and transport protocols based on network characteristics. An Internet network communicates with the same device that is connected to the Internet network by the interfaces and transport protocols based on characteristics of the Internet network. The interfaces for setting-up communications between the mobile terminal and the Internet network are characterized by a passage of communication data via the device.
