The console (9) has a post (10) for supporting guard rail elements, and a base (12) fixed to an end of the post along a direction perpendicular to the post. The post comprises a hooking arm (16) equipped with a hooking cam pin at its free end hooked to independent hooking legs integrated of a framework rafter (3) of a roof of a building. The hooking cam pin is curved into L-shape, and comprises a branch extending perpendicularly under the arm towards the base and another branch extending laterally to the arm and perpendicular the arm. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a scaffolding structure suspended to a roof of a building by independent hooking legs respectively fixed to a framework rafter of the roof.
