<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection unit composed in compactness and for highly accurately detecting radiation, and to provide a PET/MRI integral apparatus having it. <P>SOLUTION: The PET/MRI integral apparatus includes the radiation detection unit 40. The radiation detection unit 40 includes a scintillator block 46, a light guide 48, and PSPMT 50. The scintillator block 46 includes a plurality of scintillators 52 having an emission face 52a. The light guide 48 is composed by connecting a first guide block 54 including a plurality of first guides 58 and a second guide block 56 including a plurality of second guides 60. Light from the emission face 52a of the scintillator 52 is guided in an arrow C1 direction toward the second guides 60 with the first guide 58, and guided in an arrow A direction toward PSPMT 50 with the second guide 60 after being bent at substantially 90°by making it incident on the second guide 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
