PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device and a navigation device excellent in responsiveness by shortening processing time until image display is completed by efficiently using a plurality of processor cores. SOLUTION: The map display device has the plurality of processor cores 3 which perform arithmetic processing of information, and includes: a drawing object information acquisition means for acquiring a plurality of pieces of drawing object information divided by every drawing object in map display; a drawing image generation means for processing the drawing object information using the plurality of processor cores 3 to generate drawing images by every drawing object; a display image generation means for synthesizing the drawing images by every drawing object to generate one display image; a display means for displaying the display image; and a data amount adjustment means for allocating the plurality of pieces of drawing object information to each processor core 3 so that data amounts for each processor core 3 to perform the arithmetic processing are equalized in generating the drawing images by the drawing image generation means.
