PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase avoiding the problem wherein the temperature inside a display chamber becomes high and a member in the periphery of illuminating lamps is damaged by heat caused by lighting of the illuminating lamps. SOLUTION: The low temperature showcase R for displaying a commodity while cooling it in the display chamber 6 includes: the illuminating lamps 14, 14 for lighting the inside of the display chamber 6; a temperature detector 26 for detecting the temperature inside the display chamber 6; and a control device C for controlling lighting of the illuminating lamps 14, 14 based on output of the temperature detector 26. The control device C turns off the illuminating lamps 14, 14 when the temperature inside the display chamber 6 is a prescribed high temperature value or above. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
