PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for vibration-proof rubber whose heat resistance and durability are both improved in a good balance, and to provide a vibration-proof rubber obtainable using the same. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the vibration-proof rubber containing rubber components, whose main component is a natural rubber or a blend of a natural rubber and a diene-based synthetic rubber, contains 0.1-1 pts.wt of sulfur, a sulfenimide compound, and a maleimide compound relative to the rubber component of 100 pts.wt., and desirably also contains a thiazole compound as a vulcanization accelerator.
