<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump device capable of improving a heating capacity in comparison with a conventional gas injection cycle, and exerting a sufficient heating capacity even in a cold district having the outside air of -10°C or less. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat pump device comprises a bypass pathway 13 for bypassing a part of the refrigerant between a heat exchanger 6 and an expansion valve 11 to supply the same to the compressor 3, a suction superheat degree increasing means 9 for heating the refrigerant between a heat exchanger 12 and the compressor 3 to increase a degree of suction superheat of the refrigerant sucked to the compressor 3, a discharge temperature increasing means 10 for heating the refrigerant flowing in the bypass pathway 13 and increasing a discharge temperature of the refrigerant supplied to the compressor 3, and a flow rate adjusting means 14 for adjusting a flow rate of the refrigerant flowing into the bypass pathway 13.
