<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method by which blocking can be suppressed and production of wrinkles caused in a recording medium can be prevented, and to provide printed matter obtained by the inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording method comprises: a (A-1) process for preparing the recording medium having a back coating layer in advance or a (B-1) process for applying a composition for forming an active radiation-curing back coating layer onto the recording medium; a (B-2) process for irradiating the composition for forming the back coating layer on the recording medium with active radiation; a (C-1) process for forming an image by ejecting an active radiation-curing ink composition onto the opposite side of a back coating layer forming surface of the recording medium; and a (C-2) process for irradiating the image with the active radiation to cure the image.
